How to Refill Ink Properly

    When refilling ink, the goal is to prevent air from entering the ink system.

    Procedure

    1. Work in a clean environment and wear suitable protective gloves.
    2. Carefully connect the ink bottle to the refill port.
    3. Hold the bottle upright during the refill process.
    4. Gently squeeze the bottle so ink flows into the ink bag.
    5. Occasionally release the pressure on the bottle to create a vacuum. This draws trapped air from the ink bag back into the bottle.
    6. Repeat this process until the ink bag is sufficiently filled.
    7. Disconnect the bottle carefully and close all caps.

    Note

    A small amount of air in the tube behind the ink bag is normal and intended.
