If your print appears blurry or lacks sharp edges, there are several possible causes. Check the following points:
1. The distance to the wall is too large
For optimal print quality, the distance between the print head and the wall should be approximately 10 mm. A greater distance causes the ink droplets to spread, resulting in a blurry print.
2. The wallPen is not aligned parallel to the wall
If the wallPen is not perfectly parallel to the wall, the distance between the print head and the wall changes across the print width, which can cause parts of the print to appear blurry.
➡️ Carefully align the wallPen parallel to the wall and verify the alignment using the laser guides.
3. Bidirectional printing with fine details
Images containing fine lines, small text, or intricate details should be printed in Unidirectional mode.
Although Bidirectional printing is faster, it may reduce edge sharpness on highly detailed graphics.
➡️ Switch to Unidirectional Printing for these types of images.
4. Check the horizontal and vertical calibration
An incorrect horizontal and vertical calibration can cause adjacent print passes to become slightly misaligned, making the print appear blurry or doubled.
➡️ Perform the horizontal and vertical calibration again if necessary.
5. Check the nozzle test
Missing or partially clogged nozzles can also reduce print sharpness.
➡️ Perform a Nozzle Test. If nozzles are missing, bleed or clean the print head and repeat the nozzle test.
6. Print resolution (DPI)
A low print resolution may reduce image sharpness, especially when printing small text or detailed graphics.
➡️ Increase the DPI setting if higher detail is required.
7. Clean the print head
Dirty nozzles or dried ink residue can negatively affect print quality.
➡️ Clean the nozzles according to the maintenance instructions and perform another nozzle test afterwards.

If the print quality is still blurry after checking the points above, please create a support ticket and include:
- A photo of the printed image
- A photo of the nozzle test
- The print settings used (pass mode, DPI, print mode)
- The wallPen log files
