How do I edit my file to print pure black?

If you want to print your image or text completely black, follow the next steps:

- Open image
- Image -> Mode -> Greyscale
- Image -> Mode -> Bitmap, under "Method" please select threshold value 50 and confirm with "OK".
- Image -> Mode -> Greyscale again. Confirm the Window with "OK".
 -Image -> Mode -> Select the colour space CMYK.
- Now select the "Eyedropper tool" and click on the text or on a black area of your image.
- Under the colour selector you can see that with CMYK the other colours are still mixed in.
Now pay attention to the following point:
- Select -> colour range. -> under "Select" please select "Sampled colours" and confirm with "OK".
- Press the "Del" key on your keyboard, select "Foreground-Color" under "Contents". Then type in the following values for CMYK:
C:0
M:0
Y:0
K:100

Hit "OK"

- Then check with the "Eyedropper tool" whether the values have been taken over.
- If this is not the case, repeat the process from the point "Selection".
- Repeat until the value K is 100 and the rest is 0.
