Wall to wall print

Wall-to-wall printing allows you to print across the entire width of a wall—from the left corner to the right corner. Accurate alignment of the wallPen is essential for achieving a clean and seamless transition.

1. Make sure the floor is level, especially in the area where the two prints will overlap. An uneven floor can result in a visible transition.
2. Mount the print head on the left (rear) side of the wallPen.
3. Align the wallPen perfectly parallel to the wall.
4. Use a spirit level to ensure that the rail system and the vertical axis are aligned as accurately as possible across the entire print width. This is especially important in the transition area.
5. Choose a suitable location for the image transition. Areas with many colors, textures, or details are much better suited than large solid-colored areas, as small alignment differences are less noticeable.
6. Load the desired image and start printing.
7. Once the desired transition point has been reached, pause the print during the downward movement so that the print head remains at the bottom.
8. Cancel the print, select "Save Progress", and also make a note of the current print pass.
9. Move the print head back to the starting height using the down arrow.
10. Disable Distance Control.
11. Place two small pieces of tape over the two laser points on the wall.
12. Carefully mark the position of both laser points on the tape using a fine pencil.
13. Turn off the wallPen.
14. Carefully move the wallPen to the left.
15. Remove the print head from the left side and mount it on the right side of the machine.
16. Start the wallPen, perform the homing procedure, and set the maximum print height.
17. Set the print head to the same wall distance used previously.
18. Realign the wallPen so that it is perfectly parallel to the wall and verify the vertical alignment with a spirit level.
19. Using the software, position the wallPen so that both laser points align exactly with the pencil marks.
20. Re-enable Distance Control.
21. Load the same image again.
22. Remove both pieces of tape.
23. Resume printing from the previously noted print pass.

Recommendation:
Before continuing the print on the wall, we recommend printing the transition area of the second print onto a transparent film first. This allows you to verify that the starting position has been aligned correctly and that the transition between both prints will be as seamless as possible.
